Fabulous job on your Prezi...and getting it embedded, too! :) Your thoughts on high stakes standardized testing are similar to many - especially those who have had to endure it in the school system for the last decade or so. There is certainly validity in all measures (standardized test scores, grades, etc), but I think we (human nature) forget to keep things in balance and sway to one extreme or the other which results in negativity.
Multimedia, and in particular, types of visual literacy, are becoming especially vital as our students have been so exposed to it that their brains actually connect in a more networked (rather sequential) way. Although text is still important, tapping into audio, images, video, etc definitely enhances delivery of information. :)
